Kota Kinabalu, Sabah - Six INTROP Researchers visited Kota Kinabalu Industrial Park (KKIP) Sdn Bhd in Sabah on 21^st May 2019. The visit was attended by KKIP Sdn Bhd's Chief Executive Officer, Melvin G. Disimond, General Manager (Business Development), Lawrence G Kimkuan (Senior Manager, Business Development). KKIP Sdn Bhd is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sabah State Government under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Sabah which focuses on developing sustainable socio-economic status in Sabah. In addition, the company has the potential to contribute to the transformation of Sabah to become an industrial based economy. Both sides exchanged views on various issues related to the development of wood-based industries in Sabah in particular. The visit aims to explore collaborative opportunities in the research and development of timber industry with agencies in Sabah.
