Master of Sciences and Phd (Tropical Rainforest Ecosystem Services)

The programme aims to explore and develop research pertaining to four types of ecosystem services, namely provisioning, regulating, habitat, as well as cultural and amenity services within the tropical forest ecosystem. The research topics range from carbon sequestration, sustainable bioresource production, biodiversity conservation and valuation, forest stand dynamics to ecotourism services within the context of tropical forest. Natural resources should be sustainably managed for long-term usage to improve the quality of life for humans as well as wellbeing of tropical forest communities. The existing experts are capable of responding via a holistic approach to current global issues related to the conservation of forest and ecosystem services.
