A commonly wasted agricultural waste, pomegranate peel has attracted attention as a useful biomaterial with a wide range of potential uses. Fruit and vegetable wastes create environmental difficulties, as well as a loss of valuable biomass and a financial cost to enterprises, due to its high biodegradability.

Rembau, Negeri Sembilan, 12 May 2026 – The Institute of Tropical Forestry and Forest Products (INTROP), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), successfully organized a Knowledge Transfer Program with the ANGKASA Community, focusing on bamboo propagation and nursery management. Members of the Angkatan Koperasi Kebangsaan Malaysia Berhad (ANGKASA) from across the nation participated in the one-day program, held at the Bamboo Plantation of Koperasi Kariah Masjid Kundur, Ulu Rembau (KOMASKU).
