UPM Serdang, 30 May - A delegation from Leave a Nest Co Ltd, Japan and the Institute of Tropical Forestry and Forest Products (INTROP) paid a courtesy call to the Department of Higher Education (JPT), Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia. The delegation was led by Dr. Yukihiro Maru, CEO of Leave a Nest Co Ltd with Mr. Abdul Hakim Sahidi, Managing Director of Leave a Nest Malaysia Sdn Bhd, Dr. Yuko Ueno, Director of Leave a Nest Malaysia Sdn Bhd and Dr. Kihoko Tokue, Director of Leave a Nest Singapore Pte. Ltd. The INTROP delegation was led by Prof. Ts. Dr Khalina Abdan, Director of INTROP, Dr Syeed SaifulAzry, Senior Research Officer, and Dr. Lee Seng Hua, Research Fellow. Representing the Department of Higher Education is Prof. Associate Professor Dr Wan Zuhainis, Director of Akademic Excellence Division, JPT, Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia.

Discussions revolved around the potential for cooperation between the three parties in an effort to assist the commercialization activities and increase the scale of research as well as the development of entrepreneurship programs among researchers in Malaysian public universities.
