The Professor on Duty Mathematical Program

Date: 31 March 2018, 7 April 2018 and 14 April 2018

Venue: Masjid Nurul Iman Kg Batu 10 Kebun Baharu, Telok Panglima Garang, Selangor

The Mathematical Program of Professor on Duty was successfully held in three series. The first series for elementary students in standards 4 and 5. The second series for Form 1 and 2 students and the third series for Students in Form 4. A total of 387 students have followed the three series. Among the schools involved are Sekolah Kebangsaan Kebun Baharu, Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Jalan Kebun, Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Telok Panglima Garang, Sekolah Menengah Islam Darul Mujahidin and Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Sijangkang Jaya. The objective of this program is to inculcate a positive mind to the students about easy math. Additionally, it also aims to provide direct guidance to the students on mathematical problems through study group. Three Professors which are Associate Professor Ir. Dr Mohamed Thariq bin Hameed Sultan (INTROP, UPM), Prof. Ir. Dr. Mandeep Singh Jit Singh (UKM) and Associate Professor Dr. Zulkifli Mohd Nopiah (UKM) has been providing guidance. A total of 18 students from UPM, UKM and Shah Alam Polytechnic lecturers became facilitators for this program.
