SERDANG, 21 April 2021 - The Graduate Unit of the Institute of Tropical Forestry and Forest Products, has successfully held a virtual gathering which is Virtual Gathering: Alumni Get Together with Student 2021. This program has brought together a total of 21 newly registered students and continue students. Activities such as Students and Alumni Icebreaking were assisted by Dr. Chin Kit Ling as moderator while joined by all the participants. An explanation related to the lab book writing procedure which is mandatory for all Master and PhD program students was delivered by one of the INTROP Science Officer representatives. Explanation of safety guidelines when conducting experiments in the laboratory is also delivered as one of the contents of this program. To maintain the safety of students, this assembly is conducted through the Zoom application. An alumnus has shared his experiences and challenges before successfully graduating as a Graduate On Time INTROP student. The purpose of this program is to create a good relationship between students and INTROP alumni, especially those who have worked. Therefore, with the experience of studying at INTROP and completing his studies within 6 semesters, Dr. Siow May Ling be invited to share an experience titled To Find yourself you must first love yourself. After completing his studies at INTROP, he got an offer to become a lecturer at the Faculty of Design and Architecture. In conclusion, this program has provided various inputs to students even though students are currently struggling in the COVID-19 pandemic.
