Banting, Selangor, 26 September 2024 – INTROP has been invited to participate in the World Bamboo Day (WBD) Malaysia 2024 Celebration as well as the National Bamboo Seminar held at Tadom Hill Resorts, Banting, Selangor. The opening ceremony was officiated by YB Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani, Minister of Plantation and Commodities. The event organized by the Malaysian Timber Industry Board (MTIB) aims to bring together bamboo entrepreneurs and researchers from various backgrounds to support the development of the bamboo industry in Malaysia.

INTROP is represented by Dr. Mohd Zuhri Mohamed Yusoff (Head of Laboratory of Biocomposite Technology), Ts. Dr. Mohd Radzi Ali (Research Officer), Mr. Mohd Hafizie Manap (Assistant Science Officer), and assisted by two postgraduate students, Miss Wan Nur Shasha Najiha Zainal Abidin and Miss Sarah Nur Hanis Roslan. INTROP has exhibited various research results and bamboo-based products as a result of research collaboration with agencies, industry, and the community. This effort is expected to encourage innovation and development of bamboo-based products that can benefit society and the national economy.
