Recycling Paper Awareness Project (Central and Southern Zones)

Projek Kesedaran Penggunaan Kertas Kitar Semula Peringkat Kebangsaan 2019 is a community project that jointly organized by Universiti Putra Malaysia, Universiti Sains Malaysia and the University of Kelantan Malaysia. The program has been start for Northern Zone at Universiti Sains Malaysia on May 2, 2019. Subsequently,  Institute of Tropical Forestry and Forest Products (INTROP), UPM  hosted the Central and Southern Zones which were held on July 17, 2019 and the latter will continued at Universiti Malaysia Kelantan to represent the East Coast Zone in October.

 

Various interesting activities were held such as

- Exposure of the origin of paper production

- making paper from recycled paper

- testing of paper properties

- an emphasis on the importance of recycling to the environment

- quiz

 

Highest appreciation goes to all those who have worked hard to make this program a success, including the schools involved. The list of schools involved in the Central and Southern Zones are:

Hopefully all the  knowledge gained from this program can be benefited and applied at their school.
