BUKIT JALIL, 18 February – Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) is collaborating on research, innovation and commercialization with Leave a Nest (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. to establish research and innovation cooperation.
Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research and Innovation), UPM, Prof. Dr. Nazamid Saari has represented the Vice Chancellor of UPM, Dato' Prof. Dr. Mohd Roslan Sulaiman to receive the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today and was attended by the Chief Executive Officer of the Leave a Nest Group and the Founder of Leave a Nest, Dr. Yukihiro Maru.
Prof. Dr. Nazamid said, through the MoU it is a platform to develop start-up companies and polish UPM researchers who have products or technologies that have the potential to be commercialized.
"Potential products and technologies will be promoted to investors or matched to start-up companies in the Leave a Nest network at an international level and will benefit UPM researchers," he said.
The collaboration is in line with UPM's 2021-2025 Strategic Plan which is Goal 2, Create a research and innovation hub that generates value based on a sustainable ecosystem.
