Introduction

Laboratory of Biocomposite Technology (BIOCOMPOSITE) is the nucleus of research activity in INTROP that centres on biocomposites where bio-materials, such as natural fibre, are innovated into advanced products in various sectors including automotive, advanced material, antiballistic, construction and furniture. The laboratory has two major programmes, which are:

1. Biocomposite Technology and Design
2. Fibre Characterization and Processing Technology

Between 2007-2022, the BIOCOMPOSITE performed commendality in publication, research grant generation and industry network. With growing demand from the industry, biocomposite research is projected to undergo fast development and a bright future prospect.
